Stuck, found a bug, or have a question about your data? Write to us. We normally reply within two working days, and faster for problems with a purchase or with access to your account.
To help us answer quickly, please tell us which iPhone you use, which version of iOS it runs, and what you were doing just before the problem appeared.
Getting started
How do I add a child?
The app asks when you first open it. Later, tap the name at the top and choose Add child. All you need is a name or nickname. Date of birth, weight and allergies are optional.
How do I record a dose or a temperature?
Tap the plus button at the bottom and choose what you want to record. The form opens full screen. The time is always set to now, but you can change it when you are entering something after the fact.
How do I set up a medicine with a minimum interval?
When recording a dose, choose Add new. Enter the name and, if you like, the minimum interval in hours. The app suggests a daily maximum based on that, and you can override it.
Both values are your own settings. Medly Care does not give dosage recommendations.
Notices and warnings
What does "Minimum interval not yet reached" mean?
The dose you are about to record falls closer to the previous one than the interval you set for this medicine allows. The notice blocks nothing. You can save anyway.
The app only does the arithmetic on your own values and decides nothing. Whether a dose is right is a question for your doctor.
Can I edit or delete an entry?
Yes. Tap the entry in the timeline. Everything can be edited or deleted, including entries made by other people in your household. Who changed something last stays visible.
Recording together
How do I invite someone into my household?
Household management is under Profile. Enter the email address there and share the link, for example on WhatsApp. The invited person has to accept explicitly; after that they see every child and every entry in the household, including older ones.
An invitation expires after 14 days. Recording together is part of Premium.
If you lose the link, revoke the pending invitation and invite again.
Premium
What does Premium cost, and is it a subscription?
Not a subscription. Premium is a one-time purchase and stays unlocked permanently. You can see the current price in the app under Profile.
It unlocks multiple children, recording together within a household, and the history as a PDF.
Does everyone in the household have to buy Premium?
No. One purchase covers the whole household. Anyone who is invited and accepts uses Premium too, without paying themselves.
I bought Premium but it is not active
Open Profile and tap Restore purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID you used to buy.
If that does not help, write to support@medlykids.com and we will unlock your account manually.
I have a new iPhone. Do I have to pay again?
No. Sign in with the same account. If Premium stays off, tap Restore purchases.
Account and data
How do I change the language or the time format?
Under Profile. For the time format you can choose between 24-hour and 12-hour with AM and PM.
How do I export my data?
Under Profile, Privacy and Data you will find Export data. You get all of your profiles, medicines and entries in machine-readable form.
How do I delete my account?
Also under Profile, Privacy and Data, at the bottom. This deletes your account and every entry belonging to it. It cannot be undone. Export anything you want to keep first.
I forgot my password
On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password. You will get an email with a link to reset it. If nothing arrives, check your spam folder.
Who can see my data?
Only you and the people you invite into your household. The data is stored in the European Union. There is no advertising, no tracking and no sharing with third parties.
Everything else is in the privacy policy.
